Move Yourself Trailer Hire is an authorised essential service supporting the Service Station industry. To help answer a few questions you may have in regards to your move, please see below:

Can I still access my booking in the event of a lockdown?

Yes you can. Unless there is a localised specific instruction of why you cannot leave your home, our service is available during a lockdown.


I have a booking but don’t feel safe completing my job, can I cancel?

Yes you may cancel. Please call us on 1300 882 187 or email enquiries@moveyourself.com.au to cancel your booking. (Please have your booking number ready, a cancellation fee may apply)


I’ve hired an item through Move Yourself and after I have picked the item up the government has mandated a lockdown. Can I return the trailer as per my contract time?

Yes you may. Service Stations and Move Yourself will remain open during a lockdown.


Where can I go to find out if I’m allowed to move house during a lockdown?

See below link to the Australian Government Department of Health website which list’s what we can and cannot do during a lockdown. From previous lockdowns our experience has been yes it is allowed, providing you meet the requirements as per directed in terms of social distance and mask wearing etc.

There are also links within the health.gov website that takes you to your local state Health website for state specific requirements.


Can I cross the border with my hire item?

We don’t recommend crossing borders if the state you're travelling to is in lockdown, or the state you're travelling from is in lockdown. If it’s a one way booking and you're moving house, then this is ok, just ensure you have checked your local government Covid-19 permit requirements if any, before you pick up the booking.
